Striker Stroke the PGA Tournament of Champions Golf and Captured It


Steve Striker of America Succeeded to win the PGS Hyundai tournament of champions by 3 strokes. In the final round of the match, he birdied the 2 of the last 3 holes to fire a 4 under every 69.

Striker is about to turn 45 in the coming month and prior his birthday he succeeded to win $ 1, 12 Million , the top prize of the winners of the last year. However, this event didn?t have the major champions of the previous year like Charl Schwartzel of South Africa and Rory Mcllroy and Darren Clarke of Northern Ireland.

Striker ended the match on just 23 under 269 par to defeat Martin Laird of Scotland by 3 strokes and his other contenders were Webb Simpson and Jonathan Byrd of America who were sharing the third position on 273. On the other hand, two other players, American Frazar and S. Korean Choi shared the 5th position on 277.

Striker commented that it was tough to win the match. Though he was confident that he will never give up but still it seemed tough for him to win the game. It seemed tough because he had strong players as his competent but finally he dropped the ball in the whole.
Striker is the only player who has won multiple titles during the previous three sessions of US PGA. This win secured the 12th title of his golf career and the first one of this session. Before this, he secured the John Deere Crown in the month of July.

This win was 8th of Striker among the past 32 months. If he would have lost the game it would never have been possible for Striker to reach the fifth ranking in the world of Golf. It is also the highest spot for any American.

Strikers began the match with Five ?Stroke edge and started playing with 5 pars prior the lone Bogey at par four sixth, missing solid chances when his rivals were closing the gap.

When the match was not on his favor , Striker felt that it was simply slipping away but he was quite patient and was never frustrated. He explained the situation very nicely during an interview saying that he told himself that he could come closer towards the turn and then he will be all right.

Striker also reported that he has recovered from neck injury that interrupts his game plan but now he is in good physical condition to play the rest of the match quite successfully.
