Fox Adds Mcgahee to the Running Back

McGahee has been signed a free-agent contact with Denver. He will join the starter Knowshon Moreno. McGahee will be wearing No. 23. McGahee said that he and Moreno will be the Stallions and Broncos in the game. They want to be a couple of workhorses who can win the match. The new Broncos coach John Fox wants to revive the Denver offense by installing a physically pounding ground presence and McGahee who is 235 pound is a good choice for that. Denver was ranked No. 26 in the rushing last season with 96.5 yards per game.
McGahee had 1,541 carries for 6,617 yards since he was first drafted by the Buffalo Bills in the first round of 2004. Because of the severe knee injury McGahee didn?t play his rookie season. Even though he didn?t play his rookie season he is ranks 3rd in the NFL since 2004. He is behind only LaDainian Tomlinson (107) and Thomas Jones (56). McGahee has 55 rushing touch downs. McGahee has spent four seasons with the Buffalo Bills and another four with Baltimore Ravens from 2007-10.
John Fox said that in his coaching History he has always used two backs for the successful run. This will help them to keep fresh and energized in the 16 game running. Moreno is Denver?s over all pick in 2009 and in his two seasons with the Bronco?s has only 5 runs of 20 plus yards. He also experienced several injuries during these seasons. But Moreno has returned this season with good shape and has promised to his fans of best play by him this season. The general manager also expects Moreno to play quick and explosive game. Bronco?s general manager Brian Xanders said that already the running backs are having good competition in the team and they will compete for the next four weeks also.
McGahee will turn 30 this season and he thinks that it was a smooth transition from Baltimore to Denver. Eric Studesville the position coach of Bills said that he had seen some great on-field traits in McGahee during the film study of free agents. McGahee had 1000 yard season in 2004-05 and 990 yards in 2006 under Studesville. The assistant coach thinks that McGahee is still a big physical back and has some thing still left in him. He added that McGahee is a highly competitive guy and he has a specific attitude in him.
