Kim in Houston Triumph

A two year draught for Anthony Kim has been spectacularly ended when he won the Houston Open. This marks the end of a period in which Anthony Kim must have been in despair of the inability to get the majors in. The more he worked, the less the success seemed to come in. There might have even been rumors as to whether he can ever really continue winning majors on a consecutive basis. However they say that a champion is always a champion so at some stage the magic was meant to come back. The opponent who lost out was the fellow American Vaughn Taylor. As the celebrations continue Anthony Kim might was to reflect about the victory and what it means for his vindication as a serious threat at majors no matter what condition he is in at the time.
The triumph came at the end of a long play off that promised tension because of the prizes that were at stake. For Anthony Kim this could easily turn into the next chapter of a long draught or it could even provide redemption. Fortunately for him redemption won through and he is now the proud honor of the Houston title. When the final round was being held up, Anthony Kim was tied in the lead. He then hesitated in the regulation phase where he could have put his opponent away. The last hole was bogeyed after a frustrating miss on a six foot par putt. Perhaps it was the nerves or the excitement of the occasion which conspired to keep him trapped.
After carding a seventy score to tie with his opponent Taylor, Kim scored a birdie for the last sixty eight. At this point he was twelve points under part and stood at two hundred and seventy six in Redstone. Taylor had to qualify for the United States masters series in August which is actually his home town. The first playoff hole was something of a nightmare but he managed to win with a par score. This is the third win on the United States PGA tour for Kim. This will give him confidence when he comes to contest the masters.
