LOCOG has announced that the lines are now open for people to register their interest for tickets for the London 2012 Olympics. By simply logging on to the official London 2012 Olympics website you can register your interest for 2012 tickets and the sports or occasions which you wish to see. This does not guarantee you any tickets but you will receive regular updates and will receive first notification of the dates 2012 tickets will come on sale. As yet there is no information on ticket prices and they will not be decided until much later, possibly even 2011.

Also whilst there is a guarantee that some 75% of all Olympic tickets will go to the general public, there is no guaranteed number of tickets that will be made available on sale in the United Kingdom or abroad and no comment on the amount of general public tickets that may be available for the premium events where it is anticipated that the percentage of tickets available to the general public may be quite small.

Still it is very important to register your interest for London 2012 tickets as they say, you need to be in it to win it. if you do not choose to register your interest it is likely that you maybe towards the back of the queue and potentially miss out on seeing this once in a lifetime event in person.Also take care on what events you wish to register to see, it could well be that you can get tickets for some sports you may like if they are not premium events.
