A MLB Baseball Summary

Some interesting news on the MLB baseball front
There is news coming in that A Rod is trying for his six hundredth career home run when he joins the New York Yankees. They will be playing against the Cleveland Indians. This is despite the apparent mild injury when he was hit by a pitch on his left hand. The culprit on this occasion was none other than Blake Wood from Kansas City. It happened during the eighth inning that came through on Sunday. It seems that that hit did not do any long term damage and Alex Rodriguez is ready to rock and roll on the MLB baseball world.
We then report on the increasing tendency for people to use the walk off tactic to win the games. This time there is an antidote for the Florida Marlins in the form of the seven games on trip. That is one game that they must win or else they will face some pressure on their position in the league games. I am sure that they are well prepared for the challenge and will give a good account when called upon to do so. They are not likely to unload the starters for the fixtures that are coming through. I am not entirely sure whether this is a good thing or bad thing but we will wait to see how things pan out in the end.
On the injury front we get an update on the rather unfortunate Andre Dawson who has had to suffer no less than a dozen knee surgeries. However he has still managed to hold a twenty one major league record on the MLB baseball front. He has been inducted into the National Hall of Fame. In this he becomes one of the two hundred and three players to enjoy the privilege of that honor. It is a well deserved honor given the impressive career that he has put together. Not many people can boast such achievements despite the injury problems that plague them from time to time. We join the MLB baseball community to commend him on this great achievement.

Jason Booth to fight Steve Molitor

The British boxer Jason Booth is slated to go into a duel with his Canadian counterpart for the IBF world super bantam weight prize. This much anticipated encounter is schedule to happen next month and early indications are that it promises to be a real cracker for both the fans and the players. Sporting pundits are already rushing to make predictions and estimations about who will eventually come on top. In the event we expect nothing but the very best boxing entertainment on that occasion. The two nations will also be behind their players and thus causing an even more interesting clash of egos.
Booth originally hails from Nottingham within the United Kingdom and currently has a thirty five to five rating. Molitor is from the Canadian province of Southpaw and is rated at thirty two to one. This means that they are evenly matched and we should expect a contest that is full of highs and lows depending on how the players perform on the day. The exact date has been set for Friday the twenty third of July 2010. The venue will be within the United Kingdom, which should give Booth some home advantage. However Molitor is also certain to be prepared for a big fight on his hands. The venue has not yet been confirmed but we expect an announcement from Frank Maloney at any point.
If the challenger could pull this one off then it would mark one of the most stirrings returns to grace in the Sport?s mixed history. Booth has had more than his share of personal troubles and has been linked to substance abuse. This is a golden opportunity to get his career back on track. His coach will be looking to banish all those demons straight back to the locker room when he faces his formidable opponent. The home crowd has been largely supportive even in the most turbulent times but if he were to win then Booth could cement his place in the popularity stakes. The venue should favor him but you never know what is going to happen when the opponent is world class material.
